Tynwald members must understand exact figures says Lawrie Hooper
An MHK is seeking to 'establish the facts' on the Cabinet Office's rates modernisation consultation in the House of Keys next week (7 May).
Ramsey member Lawrie Hooper wants information on the costs of implementing various new rating methods to be 'clearly stated in black and white' by Ministers.
He'll ask both written and oral questions on the self-assessment capital banding system floated in a previous consultation, and the area-based method included in the latest survey.
Mr Hooper says it's crucial all members of Tynwald understand the exact figures involved, before Policy and Reform Minister Chris Thomas brings a rates reform plan forward for debate.
