Former minister is seeking recent changes to health committee's remit be annulled
An MHK calling for recent changes to the remit of a committee that oversees healthcare on the Island to be annulled is suggesting it may be time for the health minister to reflect on his position.
Chris Thomas will ask Tynwald to throw out the new regulations for the Health Services Consultative Committee at this month's sitting.
When the body published its annual report earlier this year, Lawrie Hooper said the findings were inaccurate, while a former member of the committee was critical of the minister in media interviews.
Mr Thomas previously called for David Ashford to consider his position within the Council of Ministers following the outcome of the Dr Rosalind Ranson tribunal - the then-treasury minister resigned the following week.
