MHK seeks support for new committee into whistleblowing

Three-member panel would be asked to report back in March 2026

The chair of a former Tynwald committee on whistleblowing is calling for a new investigation into the topic.

Onchan MHK Julie Edge will ask for a select committee of three members to be set up to look into the Isle of Man Government's implementation of whistleblowing policy when the Island's parliament sits next month.

She'll ask for the investigation to include the impact on public sector employers and employees, policies on non-disclosure agreements and to report back to Tynwald by March next year.

A previous committee was established in 2018, and made a number of recommendations for change in its December 2020 report.
