
An MHK has questioned the system of oversight and scrutiny of contracts awarded by the Department of Health and Social Care.
Today in Tynwald (20 Jan) South Douglas MHK David Cretney asked about both internal scrutiny and parliamentary oversight, in the wake of the awarding of contracts to St Christopher's Fellowship rather than the Children's Centre.
Treasury Minister Eddie Teare said he had faith in both parliamentary committees as well as internal processes.
But Mr Cretney said the two committees involved, the Economic Policy Review Committee and Public Accounts Committee, could be seen as biased:
