Lawrie Hooper says it's 'laughable' that Treasury feels bound by Tynwald vote
An MHK who's been critical of government's approach to the minimum wage says the treasury minister should resign if he disagrees with the policy.
Last month, Tynwald agreed to increase the minimum wage in April, having also backed a move away from matching minimum wage to living wage earlier in the year.
Alex Allinson recently told Manx Radio the decision to raise minimum wage wouldn't be reversed despite concern from the business community because it's important to respect the will of Tynwald.
But Ramsey member Lawrie Hooper says the minister should only be rolling out a policy if he supports it:
