Residents give views on govt reductions
There's been some detailed and considered responses to the first SAVE scheme drop-in session at Castletown Library - which took place earlier today (THU).
That's according to Douglas North MHK David Ashford - who was on-hand to meet residents, and discuss their thoughts on government cost reductions.
He says he's encouraged by the event turnout, and says it's important to get advice from those with first-hand sector-by-sector knowledge.
The SAVE initiative looks to save government £25 million over the next five years.
Mr Ashford insists members of the public have already responded with some interesting ideas:
