Series of questions in Keys
An Onchan MHK has called for further investigation into the operational structure at Manx Gas.
Rob Callister asked a series of questions in the House of Keys this week after the company increased customer's tariffs by 3.5 per cent.
Figures issued in response by the Manx Utilities Authority and Office of Fair Trading revealed the Authority - which supplies Manx Gas - does not pass any additional costs onto the company.
And as Manx Gas profits are capped by the OFT, Mr Callister believes the rising costs on customers' bills may stem from inefficiency elsewhere:
