Chairman quizzed in Keys
An MHK wants to know whether the Manx Utilities Authority investigates the impact of it's road work schemes on nearby businesses.
After putting the same question to the Department of Infrastructure earlier this month, North Douglas MHK David Ashford is now quizzing the MUA chairman Dr Alex Allinson at today's sitting of the House of Keys (23 May).
He's concerned small businesses 'take the hit' when roads close, often with significant economic consequences.
Mr Ashford told Manx Radio sometimes the damage caused can be hard to reverse:
