"We're so disappointed", says visitor
A Scotland resident, who drove 240 miles, to get to the Manxman in Heysham's been left disappointed with the fact that he may not make it to the Isle of Man.
John Hanlon and his wife travelled from 6pm on Tuesday to get the sailing for their 30th Manx Grand Prix.
However, the Steam Packet Company says the vessel sustained damage in an incident overnight resulting in the Ben-my-Chree stepping in as the reserve vessel and thus leaving some visitors 'stranded'.
Mr Hanlon is currently on standby for the next sailing scheduled from 2.15pm today but says he isn't hopeful he will make it this year:
