Liam Chawke receiving treatment for back injuries
A Manx Grand Prix rider who crashed in today’s Junior MGP has been transferred to Liverpool.
Liam Chawke came off at Black Dub on the last lap of the race (24 August).
It was red flagged and was not restarted.
His team - Chawkie Racing - say the rider has been taken to hospital in the northwest where he is receiving treatment for back injuries.
In a post on social media the team adds: “We truly appreciate all the messages, support and concern shown for Liam and the family.
“There have been so many messages coming through, and while they are all greatly appreciated, please understand that we won’t be able to respond to everyone individually.”
