Rider Andy McAllister airlifted to Noble's
Last night's Manx Grand Prix qualifying session was abandoned following a red flag 15 minutes into racing.
It was stopped just after 6:45pm following an incident in the Senior/Supersport session at Black Dub involving Northern Irish rider Andy McAllister.
He was airlifted to Noble's Hospital for further assessment but was conscious and talking.
Organisers had hoped to restart the session with the Junior/Supertwin machines at 7:45pm, but due to the road surface at Black Dub needing to be cleaned the remainder of last night's qualifying was cancelled.
Qualifying is due to continue this evening with the MGP Senior/Supersport followed by the Junior/Supertwin qualifiers.
Roads are due to close at 6pm and reopen no later than 9pm.
Meanwhile, organisers have issued an update on the condition of James Walsh, who crashed during Qualifying Session one.
The number 55 came off at Cruickshanks in the Junior Class of the races on Sunday (18 August).
His condition is reported as stable, conscious and talking, and he continues to receive treatment for hip injuries.
