The Manx Electric Railway Society has launched an online petition against the Department of Infrastructure's latest plans for the horse trams.
The i-petitions site lists three objections to the development;
The proposals to truncate the Douglas Bay Horse Tramway ripping up the tracks from the Sea Terminal to a position just south of Broadway.
The proposed sale and change of use of the stables and proposal to carry out works at the Strathallan car shed to install new stables.
The petition has already attracted more than 780 signatures from people as far afield as Germany, Spain, Sweden and Australia.
