Services at Castletown Civic Centre today
People who need immediate support with their mental health following a fatal collision on the Southern 100 course yesterday are being offered support.
Manx Care, Civil Defence and the police are at Castletown Civic Centre today (12 July).
The health body said: “Sometimes following a serious or traumatic incident we may find ourselves experiencing feelings of anxiety, sadness, difficulty concentrating and uneasiness.
“These feelings are completely normal and there are people and services here to support you through these.
“If you feel like you would like some extra support or a listening ear there are services available to you right now.”
People can also use virtual resources – including Kooth and QWELL – where you can speak to trained mental health experts in real time via live chat.
The Samaritans are also available 24/7 – they can be contacted via 116123 or by emailing jo@samaritans.org.
