New charter seeks to redress balance
The Health Minister says treating mental and physical health issues will soon be given equal priority.
A new draft document, outlining her department's future responsibilities, will include a number of updated principles for the delivery of medical care.
These include giving users access to their records, reducing the Department's £11m deficit, and more.
Titled The National Health and Care Service (NHCS) Charter, the document is available online where it's under public consultation.
