An organisation hoping to transform a Douglas landmark into a new Information Technology education centre has been given another two months to meet a fundraising deadline.
The Manx Education Foundation had until last Friday to raise £12.5 million in backing in order to buy the Nunnery from the government for £5 million.
As the deadline passed on Friday, it wasn’t clear whether the charity had met its target and would be able to buy the facility later this year.
Economic Development Minister John Shimmin revealed on Manx Radio earlier that the deadline has now been extended:Clip 1
