Botanists come to map native flora
A team of wildflower and moss experts are on the Isle of Man.
From today, the Botanical Society of Britain and Ireland is holding its Annual Summer Meeting across the week, with the aim of mapping species of Manx flora.
Based at King William's College, the group of botanists will be led by Dr Jonathan Shanklin, who will be hosting a series of hunts, talks and ID sessions.
Dr Shanklin is credited as one three meteorologists from the British Antarctic Survey who discovered the hole in the ozone layer some years ago.
