No new requests are dealt with after 11.30pm
Manx Care's admitted it stops taking new calls to its emergency doctor service early on weekdays.
It's after complaints on social media about people not being able to get through to MEDS after a certain time.
The service is advertised as running from 6pm until midnight, Monday to Friday, but no new calls are taken after 11.30pm so the team can deal with earlier requests which are said to often run beyond midnight.
Manx Care says those who can't get through to MEDS should attend A&E or call 999 if the situation is life threatening.
There is 24-hour cover for MEDS at the weekends and on public holidays.
