Tynwald has unanimously voted to receive the report of the Select Committee on the Care and Upbringing of Children.
An amendment to one of it's recommendations was also unanimously approved by the court.
Included in the recommendations was the suggestion that legal aid rules should incorporate a requirement that mediation must be attempted as a matter of course as a precondition for access to the court and to legal aid.
Also, that the Social Affairs Committee of the Council of Ministers should investigate Frank Hanna's proposal for a mediation centre and report to Tynwald by April of next year.
