Meat plant director 'quietly confident' for future

A director of the new operator in charge of the Meat Plant is 'quietly confident' for the future of the Manx agricultural industry.

DEFA Food Business Development Manager Andrew Lees is one of six Isle of Man Meat Company directors.

Producers, butchers, retailers and the Manx National Farmers' Union joined forces on Friday to attend an open discussion about the future of the plant.

Mr Lees says there's light at the end of the tunnel for the Meat Plant.
