Scouting commissioner recognised for work over the last 20 years
A scout leader on the Isle of Man recognised in the New Year's Honours says it's been wonderful seeing children with complex needs develop new skills.
Guy Thompson has been made a Member of the British Empire after almost two decades involved in scouting, including the last years as Island Commissioner.
In recent years, he's worked to build a programme for those with additional needs to allow them to participate in mainstream activities - the first of its kind in the British Isles.
Guy spoke to Christian Jones about receiving the MBE and his work with the scouts:
