Child abused in 'worst possible way'

A 19 year-old Maughold man who raped a 10 year-old boy has been jailed.

Aiden McMahon was sentenced to six years and six months in custody after admitting taking the boy to his home and raping him in April last year.

Police say the innocent child was abused in the ‘worst possible way’ and praised the boy for having the courage to tell his parents he’d been the victim of a serious sexual offence.

McMahon, of Ballajora, has also been placed on the sex offenders register and made the subject of a sexual offences prevention order.
