Sector expected to double in size by 2030
Students in Year 9 and above are invited to find out more about jobs connected with the sea at an upcoming careers fair.
The sector, which enables 95 per cent of the UK's global trade, is expected to double in size to $3trn by 2030.
It's hoped the Maritime Careers Fair can also provide a platform to highlight the work done by the RNLI, Harbours, Coastguard and Yacht clubs on the Island.
Exhibitors already confirmed for the Maritime Careers Fair include: the Steam Packet Company, the Royal Navy and Royal Marines and the Manx Wildlife Trust.
The event will be held on Saturday. 1 July from 11am to 3pm at the Villa Marina.
