March sentence for Douglas man caught dealing cannabis

22-year-old admits being concerned in supply of Class B

A Douglas man will be sentenced later this year after mobile phone data proved he was selling cannabis to others.

Daniel Joseph Cachia, of Willaston Crescent, admitted being unlawfully concerned in the supply of the Class B drug during an appearance at Douglas Courthouse.

Police who raided the 22-year-old’s home on 24 August last year found cash, weighing scales and a small amount of cannabis which had a street value of £38.

Analysis of Cachia’s mobile phone showed he’d made arrangements to meet others to sell the drug.

A social enquiry report has been requested before sentencing on 7 March - he's been bailed until that date.
