Work to fix electrical component failure completed last night
Manxman will return to service this morning after repairs to the Steam Packet's flagship were completed last night.
The vessel underwent sea trials at around 9pm yesterday having been out of service since the early hours of Tuesday morning due to an electrical component failure.
However, the overnight Ben-my-Chree departure from Heysham is currently delayed, with the 2.15am service yet to leave the Lancashire port.
Managing Director Brian Thomson has apologised, admitting services have fallen short of the lifeline standards expected in recent weeks:
The Manxman is due to depart at 8:30am this morning.
