Fatal accident happened around 11am
The Manxman left Heysham almost an hour behind schedule this afternoon following a fatal accident on the M6 motorway.
It occurred shortly after 11am.
The Steam Packet Company has confirmed its departure time was held back to enable those due to travel on the 2:15pm sailing to make their way to Heysham.
The Manxman left around 3pm and should arrive in Douglas in the next hour or so.
