Holidaymaker 'lucky' to have missed deadly storm
A Ballasalla woman has had a lucky escape after finding herself in the path of Hurricane Matthew.
Zandra Preston is on holiday in the city of Sebastian, Florida, where she found herself seemingly right in the path of the Hurricane which has killed over 900 people in Haiti, and at least 11 in the States.
Fortunately, the storm stayed just offshore from where she was and only caused relatively little damage.
Zandra says they were very fortunate:
Main road between Peel and Douglas to shut for tree felling
'Targeted and intelligence led approach' to protect Island's borders during Irish sailings
Airport Director role advertised with top salary of £120,000
