Plastic shopping bag found 80 miles away during beach clean
A relic from a bygone era on the Isle of Man has washed up on a beach in Scotland.
A plastic Shoprite bag with the slogan "Manx to the max" has been found during a beach clean at Southerness, in Dumfries and Galloway.
That's around 80 miles away as the crow flies.
An image has been posted online by the Solway Firth Partnership, which notes that the bag also includes the plea to "please reuse me".
The last Shoprite stores on the Island closed in June 2024, following a buy-out by Tesco.
