Manx Telecom urges early action for copper-dependent services ahead of network switch-off

Manx Telecom has launched a support scheme to help customers with copper-reliant services prepare for the Island’s upcoming copper network switch-off.

The company is encouraging individuals and businesses using lift emergency lines, personal alarms, care devices, security systems, and other copper-dependent equipment to register their needs.

The move aims to ensure essential safety and care systems continue to operate without disruption during the transition to fibre.

Manx Telecom says alternative solutions are being developed to minimise costs and avoid full system replacements where possible.

Customers can register online, after which the company will contact them directly to assess needs and recommend suitable options.
