Salute to war dead at Festival of Remembrance
A member of the Island's Royal British Legion will play a part representing the Manx nation at the annual Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall in London today (12 Nov).
Dawn Quinney is an Isle of Man County standard bearer for the Legion's women's section, and will take part in today's two performances, a matinee and an evening show in front of members of the royal family at 7pm.
The event for armed forces personnel, includes military bands, guest artists and a drumhead service. It is logistically complex to stage and Dawn joined hundreds of other participants in rehearsals last night and from 5am today.
Dawn also represents the Castletown and north west regional RBL branches.
The Festival of Remembrance is broadcast on BBC TV and radio.
