What do the public make of the next financial plan?

Has government got its priorities right ahead of the next financial year?

Yesterday (20 February) Treasury Minister Alex Allinson successfully got his Budget through Tynwald.

It was backed by 18 MHKs with six voting against it; all of Legislative Council were in favour.

From April the higher rate of Income Tax is being raised from 20 percent to 22 percent to help pay for the NHS.
