"I am doing this to honour my sister’s memory, to help those still struggling, and to make sure that no-one else has to go through what she did"
An Island resident is undertaking a challenging physical feat to raise money for mental health charities, in memory of his sister.
Neil Allcote is completing 500 push-ups, pull-ups, and a 50-mile bike ride each day for five consecutive days.
Earlier this year, he completed a 100-mile walk, raising almost £6,000 for Isle Listen.
Mr Allcote emphasises the importance of the community looking after one another and being honest about mental health struggles:
Isle Listen and Motiv8 are set to be the beneficiaries of the funds.
Neil will be taking on his challenge between today (28 September) until 2 October.
