Burnham was health secretary during negotiations over health agreement
Andy Burnham could become the UK's seventh prime minister in a decade by mid-July.
Yesterday (22 June) he was sworn-in as the new MP for Makerfield.
It came just hours after Sir Keir Starmer announced he was resigning saying he couldn’t lead the party into the next election.

Mr Burnham is no stranger to the Isle of Man - when he was Health Secretary he was engaged in discussions with the Manx Government over the reciprocal health agreement.
