A Manx resident’s cost-cutting tips have sparked media attention from national newspapers in the UK and Ireland.
When Jenny Bean needed a way to wash her clothes whilst renovating her cottage - she turned the clocks back several decades.
Jenny, who lives in the south of the Island, started using a copper posser and a mangle to wash her clothes.
She told Manx Radio the old-fashioned technique has saved her £350 and helped her go 'viral':
