Little to do with OFT rules, says Nicholls
Manx Gas maintains that its latest round of tariff cuts were made with customer savings in mind.
From this month, prices have been lowered by another 3.5% - that's the second drop this year.
It follows last year's Island-wide increase in standing charges.
Manx Gas is bound by an agreement with the Office of Fair Trading to keep its profits below ten per cent - or face regulation by the board.
But Managing Director Tony Nicholls says the latest cuts reflect a worldwide drop in gas prices, and are a move towards greater transparency:
CoMin making 'significant and determined efforts' to implement recommendations from Ranson review
Rain events 'difficult to forecast' on the Isle of Man
Hunt the Wren events taking place across the Island
Port St Mary Commissioners urging residents not to 'struggle in silence'
