Customers react to gas price increase
A price rise for Manx Gas customers has had a predictably negative response from shoppers in Douglas.
It was announced today the tariff will increase by 3.5%, and the standing charge by 2.4% from the beginning of next month.
The company is blaming cost pressures and inflation.
But bosses say tariffs will still fall below what they were in 2015 - and the average gas central heating user will pay less than £25 more per year.
These gas customers spoken to by Manx Radio in the capital this morning weren't impressed.
