All 205 being scanned and assessed
Digital archaeologists are currently on the Isle of Man, carrying out a specialist project to help assess the condition of the Manx crosses.
All 205 of the early medieval structures are being digitally scanned and recorded, so they can be monitored.
The crosses are situated in churches, churchyards, and in the Manx Museum collections.
Objects Conservator for Manx National Heritage, Christopher Weeks, says the project will also make information about the crosses more accessible to the public:
