Manx charity helped thousands of people in Ukraine war

They've provided shelter to some, have supported hospitals and old people's homes and distributed food to refugees.

A Manx Charity has helped thousands of people directly and indirectly in the war in Ukraine this year.

Ruth and Chris Baker run Hands of Hope which supports vulnerable and disadvantaged children in North East Romania.

Their base is a short journey from Ukraine, and since war broke out in February, they've been across the border 12 times delivering aid.

So far, they've raised and spent £45,000.

They've provided shelter to some, have supported hospitals and old people's homes and distributed food to refugees.
