Top nurse says more time must be spent with patients, not in meetings or behind screens
The executive director of nursing at Manx Care says the organisation must “step up” and get closer to patients.
Speaking at Manx Care’s annual public meeting, Sheila Lloyd acknowledged that while nine in 10 patients would recommend Noble’s Hospital to their friends or family, the remaining 10 percent highlights occasions where the service has fallen short.
Ms Lloyd has pledged to address those concerns, promising a renewed focus on ensuring nurses spend more time with patients, and less time in front of computers or attending meetings.
She said the organisation is committed to “striving to get it right”:
