Event couldn't run without 'vital support' from UK
Manx Care has paid tribute to emergency service workers as TT 2025 draws to a close – saying the event simply couldn’t run without vital support from the UK.
Executive Director of Health Services Oliver Radford says months of planning go into ensuring there are enough resources to cope with tens of thousands of visitors – while still maintaining day-to-day healthcare.
He says each year brings record numbers of 999 calls, emergency department attendances, and visits to the minor injuries unit.
Mr Radford says the Island is hugely dependent on the additional staff who travel over to support local teams:
Sidecar competitor confident the class will return to the TT in 2027
Ramsey Swing Bridge 'a key line' for businesses
Protecting farmers from impact of climate change 'a no brainer'
Dogs to be allowed on Douglas Beach year-round as part of council trial
