Guernsey reinstates requirement at vaccine sites
With Covid cases rising sharply in the UK, Manx Care says it has no plans to re-introduce mask wearing at its health or social care settings.
Authorities in Guernsey have re-imposed a requirement to wear masks at its community vaccination facilities.
Manx Care says masks are available at all of its facilities should members of the public choose to wear them. However, their use will not be made mandatory.
Manx Care told Manx Radio it continues to monitor guidance from the UK Health Security Agency and the local public health service in respect of any changes in the use of PPE, as well as other mitigations to help reduce the spread of Covid 19, and other respiratory illnesses.
Manx Care is encouraging the public to register for their Autumn booster vaccinations when they are eligible.
Meanwhile, Health authorities in Guernsey are reporting a 70 per cent take-up for the Autumn booster jabs.
