BMA says doctors could strike early in 2025 after voting in favour of industrial action
Doctors on the Isle of Man could strike early next year after members of the British Medical Association voted in favour of industrial action.
The results of the ballot were released yesterday - 121 of 127 members taking part voted yes to action, with turnout at 75.14%.
One of the BMA's representatives on Island is now calling for Manx Care to look critically at its own financial management to find the funds to settle a pay dispute with its doctors.
The healthcare provider says doctors do deserve a fair pay rise, but insists it has to stay within its budget.
Both parties say they're open to further talks.
