Howard Parkin picks up Sir Patrick Moore Prize
An Isle of Man astronomer has been honoured with a prestigious award.
The British Astronomical Association has recognised Howard Parkin as joint winner of this year's Sir Patrick Moore Prize.
Award winners were chosen to reflect Sir Patrick's life and enthusiasms – he was, for more than half a century, the presenter of BBC TV's 'The Sky at Night'.
Howard will travel to London next month to collect the award and told Manx Radio it's out of this world:
Manxman sailing cancelled following late arrival into Douglas
Calls for 'transitional protections' for migrants on five-year immigration path
'No decisions have been made' over future of Ballabeg Methodist Church
Manxman's departure to Heysham delayed
