Gay men still prevented donating despite law change in UK
Manx actor Joe Locke is calling on government to change a law stopping gay men on the Isle of Man from donating blood.
The star of Netflix's 'Heartstopper' series made the calls in a video that was recorded for the Isle of Pride.
Blood donation rules on the Isle of Man prevent men who have sex with men from giving blood, despite the UK having relaxed its rules last year.
While Locke wished people well for the day, he said there was still work to be done on the Island for equal rights for everyone:
