23-year-old admits being involved in supply of cannabis
A Port Erin man who was caught with almost £2,000 of cannabis in a plastic bag will be sentenced next year.
Police stopped Ryan Kyle Shaw, of Magherchirrym, just after 12.30am on 14 January after the car he was in was seen speeding through Colby.
A JD Sports bag was recovered from it which contained nearly 100 grams of cannabis which had been split into multiple packages; the 23-year-old’s fingerprints were found on it.
His phone data was downloaded which showed he was in regular contact with other people about selling and supplying drugs.
At Douglas Courthouse Shaw admitted possessing the Class B substance with intent to supply and being unlawfully concerned in the supply of it between 13 September 2022 and 13 January 2023.
A social enquiry report has been requested before Shaw is sentenced at the Court of General Gaol Delivery.
Sentencing is expected to take place on 26 January 2024; he’s been bailed until that date.
