Peshawar hopes for more collaboration
The Isle of Man could forge a unique 'twinning' with the Pakistani city of Peshawar - after a visit by politicians from the region.
A delegation from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly has been in the Island on a fact-finding mission to study the workings of Tynwald.
The aim was to expose the group to good governance and parliamentary procedures - and there are nine more visits planned over the coming months.
Sultan Muhammed Khan says his Assembly would like to forge links with Tynwald and the Island, similar to those shared between the cities of Lahore and Glasgow.
He says both parties could collaborate on a range of issues, to the benefit of all involved.
