Update after lockdown in capital
Police are seeking a man in connection with a serious incident in the capital on Sunday morning (8 Oct).
It's after a stabbing at a property in the Stanley View area of Douglas, which left another male in hospital.
The attack took place at around 4.15am, prompting armed police to cordon off the scene for several hours.
The victim, 52, is recovering from what are described as 'significant injuries'.
Officers say they want to trace local man Craig Alan Varey, and are urging anyone who knows of his whereabouts to get in touch.
The public are being warned not to approach him.
As the situation develops, police are also reminding social media users that speculation and rumours can be detrimental to investigations.
