Engineers assessing damage
A definitive verdict on the damage to the Manannan, and how long it will take to be fixed, is still to be reached.
The Steam Packet says specialist engineers and aluminium fabricators are coming to the Island today to see whether the fastcraft can be repaired here, or whether it needs to go into dry dock.
The update goes on to say the assessment and repair will take some time, so tomorrow's sailings to Liverpool and Belfast have been cancelled.
Passengers booked on these sailings can either cancel and receive a full refund or are asked to contact the Call Centre on 08722 992 992 or 01624 661661 to discuss other options.
Online account holders may amend their bookings through the company’s website, steam-packet.com.
