Steam Packet bosses say there was a medical emergency on board
A Steam Packet ferry had to divert to Peel this morning.
The Manannan made the trip to the west of the Island due to what the firm says was a 'medical emergency'.
It's the second time in a week a ferry has had a medical emergency on board after the Ben-my-Chree returned to Douglas on Friday.
No details have been offered as to what the emergency on board the Manannan is.
The journey to Belfast recommenced at 8.30am this morning.
Her return from Northern Ireland has been delayed as a result, however, passengers are asked to check-in as usual.
