Managers and supervisors clock up 360 hours on the buses

But DoI minister says it hasn't cost any extra

Managers and supervisors have spent more than 360 hours driving buses on the Isle of Man over the last three months.

The figures were revealed by the Department of Infrastructure in Tynwald this week.

In August the senior staff at Bus Vannin spent 45 hours helping operate services; this rose to more than 122 hours in September and more than 190 hours in October.

It follows an extended period of disruption due to the availability of drivers

But Minister Tim Crookall told politicians the employees covering into cover hadn’t cost the taxpayer any extra:
