Bail granted at £500
A Ramsey man pleads 'not guilty' to rape and causing actual bodily harm.
Fifty-year-old Derek Michael Bird appeared at Douglas Courthouse yesterday (Fri) for an incident said to have taken place between 22 and 25 December 2015.
Deemster Alistair Montgomerie set his pre-trial review date to take place on 24 February.
Mr Bird's defence council applied for bail - which was granted at a cost of £500.
Deemster Montgomerie warned Bird not to approach the alleged victim in person or at home, and to refrain from leaving the Isle of Man without the court's permission.
